Here is a quote directly from Google Webmaster Cenrtal Bog, “Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results. Consequently, users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimized for their devices.”

Google is tracking all user behavior including within Gmail. They want anyone using their products to have a good user experience!

I would make sure that all your website pages are mobile friendly including the search results and detailed property pages that are linked from email updates and alerts.
